91ÊÓƵ’s Bridge Program is a first-year experience that helps promising students successfully transition to college by supporting their social, emotional, and academic strengths. The program is open to Oregon high school graduates and warmly welcomes underrepresented students. Students nominated and accepted into the Bridge Program will begin their transition to 91ÊÓƵ during the pre-Fall Bridge orientation that takes place in late September.
The Success at Southern / TRiO program is dedicated to providing a learning environment that honors the diversity and experiences of all students. Through intentional advising, mentoring and advocacy TRiO staff supports learners as they pursue and complete their academic, personal, and career goals. By providing a variety of services to meet students’ needs, SaS and TRiO programs assist eligible students to clarify their goals, succeed academically in their chosen program of study, and graduate with their degrees in a timely manner.
The mission of the UCAM program at 91ÊÓƵ is to support neurodivergent students’ goals of academic and personal success from convocation to commencement by providing personalized coaching, executive functioning strategies, and community belonging. In UCAM, we believe that relationships are key to student success and persistence in earning a college degree. Our program is centered on a coaching model that brings students and coaches together on the basis of mutual respect, which creates the trusting relationships and empowering environment needed for students to engage in the intensive, hands-on work of building college-level academic skills and independence. Our work extends beyond academics to helping our students find a community in UCAM and their place at 91ÊÓƵ, recognizing that co-curricular engagement and wraparound support are fundamental to college success.
